Trout and catfish are biting at Lake Poway this week. The fish of the week was a 7.5 pound Tailwalker caught by Aaron Bart of El Cajon. He hooked it using a night crawler from the shore near Jump Off Point.
There will be a free fishing seminar for kids Friday February 6th from 5-8pm at Lake Poway in preparation for the Youth Fishing Derby.
Our next stock will be February 4th, with 3,000 lbs of Nebraska Tailwalkers. The lake will be CLOSED to fishing February 4th-February 6th due to the Youth Fishing Derby. The lake will open for regular fishing at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 7th.
Lake Poway is closed to fishing and boating on Mondays & Tuesdays. The park is open seven days a week, 6:00 AM - sunset (currently 5:30 PM).
