[ARCHIVED] Poway Fire Department Opens Training Facility to Public

Fire-Open-House-web.jpg

Come explore the City of Poway’s fire training facility at the 31st annual Fire Department Open House on Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a hands-on opportunity to meet and learn from firefighters at the Fire Training Tower, 12335 Crosthwaite Circle in Poway. Kids will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the training tower and fire engines
  • Explore a kid's "safety house" to learn about fire and burn prevention
  • Work the fire hose
  • And more!
The annual open house is held in conjunction with national fire prevention week. This year’s theme is Don’t Wait – Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years. Nothing is more important than the safety of your family, so bring your kids and have some fun while you learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from fire!
