Last year 27 companies from San Diego County were awarded more than $17 million in tax credits through the California Competes Program, including Modern Times Microbrewery, Meridian Rack and Pinion, and Poway’s own H.M. Electronics.
The application period for the next round of California Competes Tax Credits (CCTC) can be accessed starting July 20th at http://www.calcompetes.ca.gov.
Three rounds of applications are planned for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015 and ending on June 30, 2016.
1. July 20, 2015, through August 17, 2015 ($75 million available)
2. January 4, 2016, through January 25, 2016 ($75 million available)
3. March 7, 2016, through March 28, 2016 ($50.9 million available)
