In an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and well-being of the Poway community, the Poway Community Swim Center will be CLOSED until further notice. The City of Poway has also postponed or cancelled non-essential meetings, gatherings, classes, camps, facility rentals, and events that fall within guidance recently provided by the state. Learn more here.
The Swim Center still includes a 50-meter by 25-yard pool with attached diving well and shallow children's area. The facility offers one- and three-meter diving boards, open swim areas, lap swimming lanes, and full locker rooms. The locker rooms now offer individual shower stalls and private changing areas. The facility has a new entrance that opens onto the pool deck and the facility now has two single-use/family restrooms.
The pool, which now has all new plaster, tile and deck, is maintained between 80 and 84 degrees, providing for comfortable swimming for various aquatic activities.
We are excited to unveil the new Splash Pad! The new spray ground play area is equipped with geysers, overhead buckets, water tunnel, and more!
During open recreational swim, lanes will be set aside for those interested in swimming laps. Some open recreational swim times will be shared with City programs and rentals. Portions of the pool may not be available for use by the public during these times. Diving Boards are not available during posted long course hours. Splash Pad may be closed based upon weather conditions.
