As part of the city's commitment to keeping Poway a beautiful place to live, work and play, the street sweeping program is performed under a contract that is administered by the Public Works Department.
This program operates on a fixed schedule (PDF). All paved public, city-maintained residential streets, and major arterials and non-major commercial arterials are swept every other week. Sweeping is delayed 1 day for national holidays and will be made up the following day. To ensure your street receives sweeping in front of your home, please have your vehicle(s) removed from the street on the designated day between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Street sweeping scheduled services are not affected by the change in City Hall service hours to the fixed compressed work week.
