Blue Sky Ecological Reserve

Open for hiking and nature observation on April 1, 2008!

    Jun 08 BS view

Trails are open for hiking and nature observation.  To allow for vegetation to regenerate naturally, we ask that you stay on designated trails and follow signs regarding closed areas.  Wildlife is especially vulnerable during this recovery period and we urge pet owners to keep their pets on a leash of 6 feet or less.

Blue Sky looks dramatically different from before the Witch Creek fire raged through the canyon in October 2007 and regular visitors will be able to experience how nature restores itself after a wildfire. Hillsides are covered with glorious wildflowers, oaks are resprouting and wildlife is returning. We invite you to come out and see for yourself!

Please remember that the Reserve is subject to Witch Creek Fire related closures as we schedule future work on the Green Valley Truck Trail.
