City of Poway

Open for hiking and nature observation

Trails are open for hiking and nature observation.  Blue Sky looks dramatically different from before the Witch Creek fire raged through the canyon in October 2007 and regular visitors will be able to experience how nature restores itself after a wildfire. To allow for vegetation to regenerate naturally, we ask that you stay on designated trails and follow signs regarding closed areas.  Pet owners must keep their pets on a leash of 6 feet or less.

Hillsides are covered with glorious wildflowers, oaks are resprouting and wildlife is returning. We invite you to come out and see for yourself!
