Let the Old Poway Park historical tour program bring the City of Poway’s past
to life! Guests of all ages can experience local history through interactive guided tours. The historical tour program is entertaining, educational, and fun for school outings, adult care centers, after school programs, church groups, and more! This well-rounded interpretive experience meets the Poway Unified School District's curriculum for local history. Historical tours can be tailored to fit any group's needs.
Old Poway Park offers a special tour program during the annual Rendezvous in Poway in September. This four day event includes a tour program on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each tour is 2 hours long and includes Project Lifesaver, a train ride, gold panning and gold rush education, living Poway history characters throughout the park, a spinning and weaving demonstration, and of course, mountain men, buckaroos and cowboys. This one of a kind living history event provides both local and California living history components.
