Picnic Area

The Green Park picnic area at Old Poway Park is a serene, beautiful setting with large oak, sycamore, and California pepper trees that canopy lush lawn areas.  Adorned with peaceful walking paths, cobblestone barbeques, rustic wooden picnic tables, and a cozy feel, the green park is the perfect place for a small or large picnic or barbeque for any celebration.

On spring and summer weekends days, the park area is busy with people enjoying birthday parties, picnics, or lunch together.  The green park is also used by many people to enjoy a nice dinner while watching the summer concerts in the park’s gazebo.

The area is first come-first served, and no reservations are required.  Glass, large canopies, and fun jumps are not permitted.  Smoking in the park is prohibited except in the designated smoking zone located at the southwest corner of the Hamburger Factory boardwalk next to the restrooms.
