City of Poway

Poway's Budget

The City of Poway Budget serves as the City’s primary financial planning document for accomplishing the City Council Goals and Objectives. Formally titled the Comprehensive Financial Program, the document provides citizens and interested parties information about the operations of the City, which include police & fire protection, parks & recreation, street maintenance, capital improvements, water & sewer service, and planning & engineering.

In June 2006, the Poway City Council adopted a Financial Policy to ensure that we continue to serve our community in a fiscally responsible manner.

The City of Poway invests its funds according to parameters set forth in the state legislation and the City's adopted Investment Policy.  This Policy is updated periodically to include legislative and other changes.
