The Lake Poway ball field will come alive with your favorite New York Zoo characters!  The City of Poway and Marrokal Construction present a FREE movie in the park screening of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.  The adventures of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo will entertain you on a state-of-the-art giant movie screen in High Definition.  Bring your picnic blanket, lawn chairs and barbecues to enjoy the evening with family and friends.  The movie will begin 30 minutes after sunset at approximetely 8:30 p.m.  The movie run time is 89 minutes.  Movie snacks will be availible for purchase onsite by the Lake Poway Concession.  Information: (858) 668-4770.  There is a $5 non-resident parking fee before 7:30 p.m.
